Mission Statement:

The Sacred Light Temple of Maryland's mission is to provide a physical place for like minds to gather and share in worship, community and family. To embrace, respect and support the individuality of each person’s right to follow their path of choice and still bond in commonality. The Sacred Light Temple is a place for all people, old and young to grow, learn and belong, a place to let your heart ring loud and true. The Sacred Light Temple provides a place for people to learn about and participate in the Wiccan religion, specifically the Correllian Tradition.

The Sacred Light Temple supports the pagan community by providing a place to share spiritually while allowing individuality. It is committed to the community and to the family. Our goal is to provide a space for spiritual growth, education, community support, and community charity. Our members enjoy a physical space to meet for both spiritual and social events. Our focus is to build a common ground that provides a safe space, a nurturing environment and a learning place for our children and ourselves.

About our Founder:

Rev. Zaina Katherina Ghazzoul (Lady Katherina) is the founder and Clergy of Church of the Ancient Ways, an eclectic Wiccan based congregation of solitary practitioners that join together for worship and fellowship, located in Baltimore, Maryland.  All of which are open to the public.  She is trained in Wicca (practicing for over 30 years), Druidism, and is conversant in Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Judaism.    She is an ordained Interfaith Minister.  She served as Senior Druid of Cedarlight Grove in 1999, and is a Senior Druid Emeritus of the organization.  She is High Priestess of her covens Guardians of the Sacred Flame Coven and Guardians of the Ancient Nile Coven.  She is a Reiki Master and teaches classes on Reiki, Chakra Therapy and Wicca, all of which are offered to the public.  She is a member of Ecumenicon, sits on the WABA Clergy Committee and is a member of the Interfaith Fairness Coalition of Maryland.

Lady Katherina is very honored to now be the Shrine Keeper of the Proto-Temple known as the Sacred Light Temple of Maryland, under the imperium of Rev. Virgina Powell, High Priestess and Temple Head of the Selu Temple.
